  1. WHY IS ANYONE SURPRISED? I'm an engineer and there are so many 1,000s of chemicals we use in industry to make all those things you all love. Just as drug addicts are addicted to their drugs most of the planet is addicted to all the cheap stuff that that you buy. For almost EVERYTHING that you have in your home there's a BETTER ALTERNATIVE its just less profitable to do the right thing. This isn't a capitalist or communist thing either as BOTH systems have proven time and time again that they will trash the environment. For all those Lefties don't claim your side doesn't trash the planet. For the socialists out there go look at what the Soviets did to the Aral Sea. For all the Communists go look at what the Chinese have done to their rivers and waterways. This is just the result of the Top 1% of the planet being insanely stupid and greedy.
