Try being an AUSTRALIAN. We've signed up to this SHlT with submarines and jet fighters and all sorts of stuff. A few months ago it turned out we hired a bunch of ex-ES Navy admirals to "consult." They are being paid between AU$1.2 and AU$2 million a year, and some of them have been here for over 10 years. SO FAR - Nobody has explained why we, the people of Australia are paying several billion dollars to fix one of your shipyards. - Nobody has explained how we are going to crew these submarines which require more than double the number of people than our current submarines. - Nobody has explained the costs which are a staggering AU$268 Billion. For each sub there's over $20 Billion unaccounted for and that's on the lower estimate. On the upper estimate its over AU$35 Billion.

@BS-vm5bt Buddy I'm Australian and the French might be good when it comes to THEIR OWN spending but they can be downright horrible when it comes to other countries buying French systems. Back in day we bought French Mirage Jet fighters and they screwed us so many different ways that we were never really going to go with French ever again. Then when we did try with the submarines they tired to screw us again. BUT in their defence I would say that our military procurement people are hopeless and have been hopeless for decades. On top of that the American's are screwing us even worse on the submarines and that's after being totally screwed on the F35. Its like going from someone screwing you with something so big an elephant would feel it to being screwed with something so big a whale would feel it.
