  1. I'm Australian and I agree. I was actually in Canada for work when Trump tore up NAFTA and hit Canada with tariffs. There's actually a lot of anti-American sentiment in Australia, but its also conditional. It was best described by an American a few years ago who said. "Australians love Americans, but hate America!" What they basically said is we like Americans (as people) but we can't stand the political beast that is America. Oddly we can't stand our political beast either. When I was in Canada I noticed how Canadians talk about Ottawa and its EXACTLY how we talk about Canberra and EXACTLY how Americans talk about Washington and EXACTLY about how Europeans talk about Brussels and EXACTLY how Brits talk about London. My bet is Chinese say the same about Beijing and Russians say the same about Moscow. However, America is a slightly different problem, because its at the centre of Western Trade and Security. Even the most ardent anti-American in Australia will admit that a "healthy functioning America" is in our best interests. Because of all these American issues (like SCOTUS) that are destabilising America, we're starting to ask the question as others will also have to do: "What does a destabilised America mean for our trade and security?"
