And the silence on this subject from the NRA is deafening. What happened to their: "the way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"?

@Kthb80 I hope you are being facetious, with that last part "After an hour...". Or you need to be clear about what you mean.

@JackieLombardi I'm waiting for the NRA to make some stupid claim that they meant ONE good guy not 5 or 10 or 20 "sort of" good guys. I went to check how many officers actually turned up. There's a NY Times story titled "No Radio, Old Tactics: How the Police Response in Uvalde Broke Down" It reports a staggering number of agencies started to turn up once it got out what was happening and that at one point there was 140 officers from local, state and federal agencies. They had everyone except the National Guard turn up with a tank.

@Kthb80 Agreed in part. From what I know it was an immigration officer who shouldn't have been there who was TOLD not to go in. BUT THAT DOES NOT JUSTIFY THE NRA's CLAIMS AND NEVER WILL.
