  1. WELL SAID. At every loop hole money uses to get its way there's a lawyer holding that loop hole open for it to go through. In the comic strip "Wizard of Id" one of its main characters is Larsen E. Pettifogger https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_Id#Main_characters One of his most famous lines is "Every man is innocent until proven broke." I once heard (sort of 😉🤫) that the Grand Canyon wasn't caused by the Colorado River it was caused by a lawyer who took it literally when they heard a wealthy client was lost down a rabbit hole. 🤔🤦‍♂️🙇‍♀️

  6. That's sadly closer to the truth than most people realise. Just look at the recent debacle with Trumps 2nd Impeachment. Mitch McConnell said YES Trump was responsible for the riot and then said NO he can't be held accountable. That sad Orwellian Logic is being played out across the entire globe in one form or another. Modern politics operates like: *"We know this is true but we are going to ignore it and do the worst thing possible for our future!" Emily Calandrelli (an aerospace engineer) did a very good TEDx talk on getting people to to take a better approach to discussing climate change. In it she mentioned that the Pentagon were working out how many billions it was going to cost to maintain their bases around the world. And that its a real cost that every American will have to pay for.
