@tugger I don't think Eagle meant that Orwell parodied Marx but more like that Marxist line was parodied in Animal Farm. Yeah its a fine point, but you can just as easily claim that Animal Farm parodied the entire Soviet system rather than any specific person or leader in that system. I'm Australian but went to college in America (late 80s). I'd done both Animal Farm and 1984 in high school and couldn't believe that most Americans had no idea that either book existed let alone what they contained. So for any American to get it even 1/2 right is better than nothing.
