  1. I'm Australian this is NOT and American problem its an EVERYWHERE problem. Go look at the news from Britain or Europe. We are at the end of an economic era its happened 2 times in the last century - the Great Depression and the Stagflation & Energy crisis of the 1970s. What's different this time is we should have had a reset after the 2008 GFC except we bailed out the billionaires. 14 years later we are reaping the effects of that failure.

  3.  @catharinaholm6035  I'm Australian and yes we know about bushfires and some of us were well aware of the Siberian fires in 2019. I remember stories from that time about the effects on land from the permafrost melting. This is one of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npvK2L_tHoE What got little attention at that time is that a couple of the Russian Oligarchs have been cutting down the northern forests faster than any land clearing in known history. They use slave labor from North Korea and sell all the timer to China so there's almost no coverage of this. Then there's the Aral Sea, but that was mostly before Putin's time.

  4. ​ @catharinaholm6035  If you want a really interesting thing to watch in retrospect of how war goes horribly wrong when you have bad reasons for starting one. There's a PBS Frontline Episode called Rumsfeld's War. Its all about the inside conflicts between Rumsfeld and Powell over the Invasion of Iraq. Its amazing to find the difference between what the public is getting told and the actual facts of what's being discussed behind closed doors. Even years later its worth the time just to see where we were and where we are now.   5. I don't know if he failed but he certainly assessed everything through a very narrow viewpoint. And a lot of that included fitting facts to confirm his narrative rather than presenting a narrative to EXPLAIN the facts as we know them.

I have NOT YET watched it but the comments are all over the place with people and gathering from them he's saying similar things to here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHfybd6agUk In the video description it points out how Ritter was someone who said Iraq did NOT have WMDs and the invasion of Iraq was WRONG. Its apparent form BOTH these videos that he's using his assessment of Iraq to get microphone time NOW. That does not make him right or wrong AT THE MOMENT. All it means is he has a track record of going against popular opinion and being right. Only time will tell.
