  1. Australian here - do you know this is the same conversation we have been having here for at least 20 years? Its the same thing I here out of America. Its the same thing I here out of New Zealand. Other than the football scores, its all we here out of most of Europe. I was in Canada in 2017 and its what they were saying. All anyone does is blame the other side of politics for the state of the economy. Have any of you DlCKHEADS stopped to wonder why NOTHING changes no matter who anyone elects anymore? When people used to vote for change there was actually a change. Then a guy named Ronald Reagan made famous remark "Government is not the solution. Government is the problem." Then people like Margret Thatcher and a string of Australian Prime Ministers followed and we got independent central banks run by ECONOMISTS, government departments run by consultants (who are mostly ECONOMISTS), and advising every politician is an ECONOMIC ADVISOR. Yeah its a simple fact of modern democracies. Nothing changes because none of the people we elect have any ability to do anything because everything is now controlled by economists. SORRY FOR THE RANT, but I'm an engineer and during a 2016 project I discovered how bad Australia's energy sector was and still is. When I looked at why I found our entire energy sector is run by economists. AEMO is run by ECONOMISTS. Our governments blueprint on future energy was written by ECONOMISTS and our opposition party's nuclear energy plan was written by BRITISH ECONOMISTS. When our media does stories on energy almost every interview is with an ECONOMIST. Power stations, roads, bridges, water treatment plants, airports, rail networks,..... are all ENGINEERING tasks and all the decisions are being made by ECONOMISTS. WE ARE ALL LOOKING AT THE WRONG PEOPLE. Its not the politicians its who's advising them and most of them have a common label.

  4. AUSTRALIAN HERE Non-contest as everybody in the World knows that Nigel Farage is the worst British politician since the end of the Second World War. Liz Truss tried hard as well as a few others, but for the shear stupidity and arrogance coupled with supreme cowardice that makes the cheese eating surrender monkey's from across the channel look brave Nigel Farage is the pick. What staggers people from other places is that this guy who was the pumpers pumper of pumping the narrative that Britain was ruled over by an army of bureaucrats from Brussels AND WHEN HE WON the Brexit Vote he immediately resigned his position in the European Parliament and WALKED AWAY. He's claimed he could not participate in a legislature he didn't believe in and yet was already a member of it. Instead of staying and negotiating the exit for which he had campaigned he just WALKED AWAY and all anyone has seen him do since is point the finger at everyone else for not working out the deal he walked away from. It's crystal clear from an outside perspective that Nigel Farage saw the EU as a soap box to stand on and preach from. He never believed Brexit would happen because he NEVER had a PLAN on what to do afterwards. He should have been asked AT THE TIME what his plan was and that would have exposed he didn't have one and shown him to be just a charlatan. FYI - I found it offensive that Nigel Farage came to Australia preaching his garbage and nonsense and EXPECTED people to PAY HIM to listen to his nonsense.
