Australian here - AGREED. Sorry America, but we have to deal with who you pick as POTUS. And right now the elite group that run the Democrats are a pack of scumbags and ARE THE REASON that Donald Trump is back. Hopefully someone will step up and tell the Clintons and Obamas that their time is OVER and GET OUT OF OUR LIVES. The same can go for the Cheneys, Bushs and several other families.

@jack36afc18 Actually Biden did sort of say he intended to only be a 1 term President and did it early on. He openly said his intent was to get Trump out of the Whitehouse. The real problem was the people around him who wanted to cement their positions instead of being a transition team away from the older Baby Boomers onto to a younger generation. That's just one of the major failures of this disaster. Another was Kamala saying she would not have done anything different and a moment when people wanted to see her be different. She dominated Trump in the debate so much he refused to do another and they utterly failed to drive that point home that she was a STEP FORWARD while Trump was a STEP BACKWARDS. Instead she became a step sideways while Trump with JD Vance and Elon Musk became the step forwards. But arguable the greatest failure was Biden, Harris, Merrick Garland and Jack Smith catastrophically failing to deal with Trump over January 6th. Trump committed a crime and they held lots of other people accountable but FAILED on Trump and with that FAILED all our futures because now money matters more than justice.

@blackout07blue Simple- the Clinton/Obama deal got Hilary the nomination and that lead to Biden's nomination in 2020. Quite possibly Bernie could have won in 2016 mainly because Trump had screwed up the COVID response so catastrophically. If you want a brilliant explanation of what's happened go and listen to Mark Blyth's answer to a question about Elizabeth Warren in 2019 in the lead up to 2020. Its during the Q&A after a lecture on Global Trumpism which even 5+ years later is still worth your time. But if you don't have the time the question on Warren is at 1:19:55. If you listen to what he describes it explains BOTH the 2020 and 2024 results. Translate part of what he says and put the Kamala courting of the Suburban Republicans by campaigning with Liz Cheney into it and it will make perfect sense.
