I'm an engineer and that's actually a really great observation based on actual data gathering. As an engineer I encounter way to many people who think opinions are more important than conclusions based on actual observed data and verified information and gathered experience. This is one of the things I find so frustrating these days as an engineer. There's a 1000 voices in the room all screaming at the top of their lungs and whatever reason and logic is there to be heard just gets drowned out in the cacophony.

@ivancho5854 Your right, except its a combination of YouTube and the main stream media to blame for the misrepresentation of engineering and technology in general. The Greens are in the majority badly informed and for too many a religious like movement, BUT NOT all of them. Back around 2005 there was a monster split in Greenpeace. The practical people said that the way to replace coal fired power stations was a combination of wind, solar and nuclear. They reasoned that you needed nuclear for base load stability. They were screamed at and driven away. There was a great observation attributed to Jonathan Haidt that went basically "There's a cacophony where the radical Left and Radical Right just scream at each other while the rest of us trapped in the middle are exhausted!" It highlights how difficult it is to have any public discussion these days because there's always somebody from one side or the other who will just snatch the microphone and start screaming. Their view is very simple "Either you're on my side or you are the enemy." As in there is no middle ground. Its not helped by a media landscape that feeds off conflict and rage. Its also not helped by armies of PR people who see inflaming any and every public discussion into a rage fest as a way to do business. Best wishes to you too.
