Actually that's exactly what the State SC for Michigan just did. They dismissed the case they were presented with had and told Michigan's Sec State to follow the law and for a PRIMARY vote that means you put every name put forward by the party on the ballot irrespective of eligibility or not. But (and its a big but) that ruling only applies to PRIMARY ballots which DO NOT decide the actual office. Glenn Kirschner did a video on this and he gave the example that in Michigan the Dems could put Obama's name on the PRIMARY ballot even though he is ineligible because he's already served 2 terms. Colorado and Maine are is different because their state laws on elections are NOT the same as Michigan. This is going to go through all the states 1 by 1 FOR THE PRIMARIES. For the actual FEDERAL ELCTION it will all depend on HOW the question is put to SCOTUS and how they rule on the 14th part 3.

Yeah I sort of agree. I'm Australian but went to college in America which is 1/2 my interest in such things. The other 1/2 is the fact our government is trying its hardest to become the 51st state before Puerto Rico becomes the 51st. Peter's problem is he's using strategic analysis rather than with political and mob psychology analysis. He completely missed the effects of Citizens United on campaign finance. what ACTUALLY got changed with campaign finance laws and the Super Pacs and is instead focused on what Obama did with millions of small donors to beat Hilary which is also what Trump has been doing except he treats it all as his own piggy bank. He's also missed something Thom Hartman pointed out. In the last midterms America's billionaires spent over $900 million via Super Pacs of which over $800 million came from about 25 people. I'd suggest he go back and watch the 2012 PBS Frontline on Citizens United. Even today that doco should be mandatory if you want to know these people.
