I'm Australian and there is one thing Peter has kind of missed in this analysis. When China stops (and we know it will) then Australia is going to want another place to sell its iron ore, metallurgical coal and other resources. So I think there will be deals made. There's already a lot of wheeling and dealing going on already with companies like Tata and Adani (although they might be in trouble). There's already a sizeable Indian presence in Australia. At the moment outside of resources there are vast numbers of Indian University students here in Australia. Maybe Australia's big advantage with dealing with Indians is that we play Cricket, which the American's Russians and Japanese don't. In fact trying to explain cricket to an American is like trying to explain Quantum mechanics to a puppy.
