Funny thing is the Russians aren't in any better of a place in terms of manufacturing than America is. A while back (and I believe Peter talked about this) the Ukrainians were consuming things like Stinger missiles so fast that it was going to be impossible for anyone to supply them. What they were getting was older stock that was close to being sent for destruction which you have to do with older munitions because things like the explosives become unstable or just have no bang at all. I remember Peter talking about the Russians and their issues with that. At the start of this war America was in the process of moving from one generation of Stinger to the next, but there was a screw up in the logistics. They were running out of the older guidance chips and the new production line for the next gen guidance chips would not be ready for 2-3 years. Minding that if you're the country that starts a war and you don't have enough bullets to get the job done and have to go to a country like North Korea then YEAH - YOU'RE HOSED.
