@EnteiIsDoge John Paul Jones doesn't meant that we shoudl not support Ukraine. He is pointing out that Peter is, in the AMERICAN CONTEXT left leaning. He's also pointing out that Peter does have a bias towards the general American narrative, but then why wouldn't he as he is American. FYI - I'm Australian but went to college in America. So I am used to Americans being American centric. We have plenty of people here in OZ who are very OZ centric. Its pretty much the same everywhere.

@goncalovazpinto6261 That happens. I remember that after one of the San Francisco earthquakes there was a baby boom 9 months later.

@goncalovazpinto6261 Yeah there might be quite a few around the world for that matter.

If they are analysts that are speaking on social media then they are NOT analysts who are speaking to people in power. Whether that be in America, Europe or Russia.

@ktg8030 That's way more difficult than it sounds, but there are some ways to screw it up. Go look at a map and look at just how big Russia actually is and look at Ukraine. Striking at infrastructure is a lot easier with smaller chunks of land. BUT if you hit infrastructure in just the right place then its chaos. If you go and look at the 2003 Blackout that smashed the Northeast of America and a chunk of Canada that was just a basic fault in a local part of the grid in Ohio. However it caused a cascade event. Kind of like dominoes falling over. So the real question for Ukraine isn't if they can take down the Russian power grid, that's unlikely, BUT they might be able to hit a couple of key places and cause enough chaos that the Russians stop doing what they are doing. The Ukrainians wont touch any of the gas infrastructure because they know this war will end and those pipelines are how Europe functions. They have probably been told already that if they want support don't touch the gas. Major power plants are probably also out and that leaves power lines and substations. Both are soft targets, are reasonably easy to repair. I doubt they hit Moscow but you might expect some of those cities near Ukraine to get the main substations hit.
