Do you have a link to show that. I am not disagreeing and would expect something that idiotic in this chaos but if you make claims like that please show a link. There's a lot of heat in this and there is way too much misinformation already. Van Jones just claimed this was treason (among other things) and as a trained high profile lawyer he should know that its not treason. Its many things like SEDITION, destruction of government property, trespass, assault, theft, BUT none of it is treason and as a lawyer with a very high public profile VAN JONES - SHOULD DO BETTER. He should be clear on what this is and what this isn't. @secreteobsession3584 That's a very shitty link on a very dubious viral YT page that includes all sorts of old footage "as admitted." The snap at 1:28 looks more like a cop simply NOT aggravating the situation and making it worse. He doesn't lower his mask and smile or try to make conversation. The implication made by T.J. is that these cops were involved and that the selfies were part of the game. It does not show that. The photo of the rebel flag has been shown along with others around the world and that should upset people its the flag of slavery and oppression and waving it inside congress while claiming to be upholding democracy as you try and deny other people there right to vote is absurd. Van Jones should know the legal definition in America of treason and that it is a very narrow definition compared to the dictionary. All the talk leading up to this is SEDITION not treason. @jamesfranksain3227 Your right all the speech leading to this was sedition but these acts are other things like insurrection, destruction of public property, theft in the case of Pelosi's hard drive. In fact these acts make charging many people with sedition easier. There was that Jody Foster film based on a real event where the guys who goaded on people during a rape got charged and convicted. I hope that in the wash up that the scumbags who talked the talk that caused this get fairly charged, fairly tried and fairly convicted.

@jt1929 Dude no one will disagree in the slightest as to what they were doing. But under US Law its not treason. In a lot of other countries it is, and in those countries these people would already be in mega deep shit. Saying these clowns had pipe bombs might be true BUT YOU MUST include a link or point it out in the vid. If you don't then your being like they are. Trump relies on not being fact checked by his supporters. They scream about evidence but then can't prove anything. They hate facts, so if you have a link that shows these mutts had pipe bombs then share it - so that all of us can ram it down their throats.

I'm Australian, but went to college in America on a sports scholarship. I did engineering but a pack of my frat brothers were pre-law and we used to discuss stuff all the time. I am actually very angry with Van Jones on this because he started this with something that as a well trained Lawyer he should know - this is NOT treason. @claytonbartels130 Correction to that. In Australia we do have freedom of speech it just has limits because we don't have that guarantee at the same fundamental level as America. About 15 years ago there was a push to have a Bill of Rights put into our constitution similar to America's. IT FAILED because of how America's BoR has been undermined by people/groups like the NRA who have learned how to manipulate it. There are still many people here who do want a BoR but we just don't know how to do it and not f--k up as America has or leave it open to weird interpretations as America has done. I personally thing the US BoR is one of the greatest achievements of all history. Its also incredibly tragic to watch certain groups and people like Trump take advantage of it and undermine it.
