  1. David can spout all the statistics he likes about this, but the fact is the GOP knows how to operate with the system that exists. Despite having a smaller base they consistently get that base out to vote. Even when they aren't in power they find ways to get what they want. The Dems are always whining about how its too hard to pass things. Obama had a supermajority and couldn't get universal health care passed. I love Jeff Daniels description of the Dems in his famous "newsroom" college debate when he told the liberal why they aren't liked - they lose and nobody likes losers. The Dems are like a football team that has the best QB, RB, O-Line, D-line etc and still can't win enough games to make the play-offs, because they have a crap playbook and no game tactics.
