You left out the a couple of others, the most important of which is when a political party just does NOTHING for people and utterly fails to deliver. The great failure of leftist or left leaning parties across the entire Western Democratic world is that when they are in power they just don't get much done. They all fall into this "lets form a committee" mentality and all they do is investigate and discuss and waffle on. It frustrates people and frustrated people can sometimes react badly. The link below is to one of the Michael Brooks tributes. Its time stamped to a part where David's old economics Professor Richard Wolff explains part of what happened in 2016. One of the others in that conversation is Prof Mark Blyth (Brown U.) and he gave one of the best comments about America just after Trumps 2016 win. That's the other link below. In case you don't know or don't remember Richard Wolff was interviewed by David (Oct 2020) and not for the first time. David was also interviewed by Richard Wolff over on his channel "Democracy at Work" (Dec 2020). Richard Wolff is a Marxist Economist, he's about as far left as you can get when it comes to economics. Richard Wolff -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g1aMsDYJCc&t=3165s Mark Blyth -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWMmBG3Z4DI&t=1104s If you've watched those links you'll get the idea that many people who voted for Trump didn't vote against their interests they voted with their frustration and rage they had against the establishment. A lot of people forget Trump smashed a bunch of GOP favorite sons on his way to the nomination. Trump supporters rejected the GOP just as much as they rejected Dems. Richard Wolff says they're doing it in a impetuous way. What he doesn't say is just how much of a vile opportunist Trump is.

Anything you don't like - misinformation. Anything you don't understand - misinformation Anything you can't argue - misinformation

@Zazz_Blammymatazz If you go to Canada, Britain or Australia (where I am) where there are Labour Parties which started in their union movements, they've also lost connection with the working class. Here in Australia our Labour parties (Federal and State) are full of lawyers, economists and accountants. They are just lawyers, economists and accountants with left leaning ideas. They are highly "solve by committee" orientated and anyone who has ever seen a committee try and solve any sort of problem knows it doesn't work. The freakiest answer I got was after the last British election. I asked a Brit why British Labour had run a losing campaign like Australia's Labour had done which was like Hilary's losing 2016 campaign. They told me that people of Hilary's campaign (advisers and strategists) had advised BOTH Australian Labour and British Labour. So when you say they Dems have lost touch with the working class - YOU ARE RIGHT. But its the same problem across the entire Anglo-American world.
