In more than a few countries the ringleaders of January 6th would have been executed."_ One of the notable aspects to the culture war is that the culture warriors paint everything in absolute terms. There are no nuances, or shades of grey or colors everything is black & white. Leftist culture warriors see anyone NOT in 100% agreement with them as a Right wing racist religious authoritarian fanatic. Right wing culture warriors see anyone NOT in 100% agreement with them as a pinko commie socialist authoritarian fanatic. The common thread with culture warriors on BOTH SIDES is they scream at anyone not in agreement with them and accuse them of being the worst of the other side including claims of being authoritarian. Early in the COVID pandemic there was a comment attributed to Jonathan Haidt that went like "There's this cacophony of noise where the Radical Left and Radical Right just scream at each other while the rest of us trapped in the middle are just exhausted."
