DAVID YOU'RE RIGHT - YOU'RE NOT AN EXPERT IN THIS. I just listened to the latest Osterholm Report and it has some stark warnings. Michael Osterholm is the Director of CIDRAP and is/was part of Biden's team of experts. He's been right on everything so far. Here's the link to his latest podcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAAcw34ToQM He is somebody you SHOULD interview.

@songomatic9897 The next 6 to 14 weeks could be worse than anything seen so far as the more dangerous strains are now lose in America and even with the best distribution of vaccines it wont be enough. Michael Osterholm did say he hopes he's wrong, but he said that in November when he said January would be the darkest time so far. Sorry.

@songomatic9897 I'm actually Australian and we got a little slack and took a bit of "its not that bad" and "we don't need to lockdown that hard." When we had a small outbreak last year people screamed and raged about the ass holes in government who locked it down. Of the 909 dead we have in 12 months 700 went in that 1 "small outbreak." That's like having 2 747 Jumbos crash and we took that as an unacceptable national tragedy. I went to college in America (U. Illinois) and if you add up the populations of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin its 25,2 million which is almost identical to Australia's 25.6. Australia has a total of 909 dead in 12 months. Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin had 914 die in the 7 days up to and including Feb-02 for a total over 12 months of 37,327. That is not simply explainable by geography, population density, available medical technology, time of year or culture although all those things are factors. So when the guy who's been right time and time again through this gives an ominous warning that it could be worse then I think people should listen to him.

@songomatic9897 I'm an Oz and you guys are pretty much the gold standard on this. What you need to be mindful of is not making mistakes like we did last year in Victoria. 700 dead is like having 2 x 747s crash losing all on board. If just 1 x 737 half the size crashed it would be a major investigation with every bullshit artist giving an opinion. The equivalent of 2 x 747s of mainly old people in age care facilities and we forgot it in a few weeks. Our Olympic athletes still think Tokyo is on. There's more dying right now than this time last year with new more lethal variants out of control in Europe and America. 🧏♂️🧏♀️
