Australian here with an observation/question. IN WHICH other country (as in other than America) would ANY citizen of that country call people to a protest outside (or close to) the parliament building or other assembly building the AND THEN those people to interfere with the government doing its job of governing the country AND THEN not go to jail? I know that here in Australia had any Australia done what Donald Trump and others did on January 6th, which includes Rudy Giuliani's call for "trial by combat" would get that person immediate jail time and most likely have any and all bail requests denied. I know that in most Western nations it would be a similar outcome. I also know that in many countries Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump Jr. and the others who spoke at the protest before the riot would not only have been detained, they would have been EXECUTED by now. Just think about how the Chinese, North Koreans, Saudis, Iranians and other regimes would have treated them. How do you think Donald Trump's Russian buddy Vladimir Putin would have treated the leaders of such a protest?

@wordsculpt I have been trying to tell people from when it first happened that in most other countries they'd have been thrown in jail ASAP and in many countries they'd simply have been executed and without trial. Remember the film "Braveheart" with Mel Gibson. He didn't get much of a trail but he did get one before he was hanged, drawn & quartered. They weren't that historically accurate in the film about that stuff because if they had then people would have run screaming from the cinemas. Yeh Trump and his goons have got off lite.
