  1. Just yesterday I listened to a podcast hosted by Prof. Mark Blyth and he had on another Michigan U. Prof. Elizabeth Berman who's just written a book about how America's political policies are now dominated by economists. One of those policies is the DOJs attitude to anti-trust law which was to put economics before any cases. There's a big problem with that and its not that there are now these giant monopolies. The people most affected by ant-trust cases are the billionaire class. If they can get past the same laws that chopped up Standard Oil and Bell AT&T and other companies, then that means they can get past anything else. We know what Epstein got away with for decades. What else do you think they get away with? If the DOJ has a core policy of business and profit comes first then all sorts of stuff will go on - tax evasion, insider trading, corporate bail-outs at the publics expense. People talk about slippery slopes when the DOJ stopped anti-trust prosecutions in the 80s & 90s they signed away America's future. The fact so many other countries have followed suit shows how stuffed the entire Western World is. Here's that podcast.
