I forget who it was but after Sandy Hook one of the pro-gun advocates said something like "Those 20 dead children are the price I'm willing to pay for our freedom." It was a truly revolting statement because what they really meant was "I don't care what it costs OTHER PEOPLE I want my gun." This isn't about rights its about idiotic selfishness. Because if it was about rights these people would care as much about living walking talking children as they care about the unborn. Anyone can go and look up the NRA's history and see that before 1977 they were a strong advocate of gun regulation. It was PRESIDENT Ronald Reagan who introduced the Brady Bill that banned AK-47s. The NRA isn't about rights its about MONEY.

Trump nominated 100s of them. Glen Kirshner started a program to track the bad decisions and start dealing with what are described as "Not Qualified" Judges. These are people who have been appointed to be judges without actually being specifically qualified. Its maybe one of the truly bizarre things of the US justice system. To practice as a lawyer means passing the Bar Exam, but there does not seem to be an equivalent for judges. If somebody else in this thread has a better explanation or description then please give it.

@bobsmith-ji2uh Go back and check your history the Brady Bill for background checks was done by Reagan and named after one of his secret service men James Brady who was shot in the attempted assassination of Reagan. Reagan did other things specifically against the Ak-47 because it was the preferred option of the Black Panthers. There are people showing clips of it at the moment - look around. What the NRA did AFTER the Reagan years is another thing and these days yeah AKs are legal just like they got Brady watered down or made irrelevant. Yeah I know about the NRAs financial issues and yeah I know there are other groups even more radical than the NRA which is scary to say the least.
