Dude we all get what you saying but you're also factually WRONG. If you go to this list and click the dat column https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_massacres_in_Canada 7 of the most recent 10 "massacres" in Canada involve guns, BUT that goes back to 1985 That's 10 such events over 36 years and that covers ALL TYPES of attack. Here's the American list JUST for shootings and there's 14 so far this year AND 6 of those are AFTER Uvalde. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States

@Physicalchemistry15151 The other day someone said that Canada has no gun massacres, which I knew wasn't true so I looked it up. Here's the list of ALL types of massacre in Canada. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_massacres_in_Canada They have had 10 since 1985 with 7 of them being guns. None of them as bad as the Port Arthur massacre we had in Australia that triggered our changes in gun laws. Here's the American lists (plural) on JUST gun related massacres. Its lists 14 this year and its only 14 because of how they categorize the term "mass shooting". The other day on PBS Brookes and Capehart they said there were 3,000 so far this year but I think that includes all gun related shootings with multiple victims or injured. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States

@Sean Embry I just watched PBS Brooke and Capehart and they said there were 300+ mass shootings so far this year. There is a problem with what defines a mass shooting. If you look at Wikipedia there's info on how various organisations define a mass shooting event. Anyway its looked at Canada has had some mass shooting events BUT its so few compared to America its nothing but a stark reminder how farked up America is right now.

@Physicalchemistry15151 For a really interesting description on the American situation, Mark Blyth (Brown U.) quoted sociologist Kieran Healey (Duke U.) in the following podcast. Its about Uvalde and before Chicago. It starts about 1:30 with the quote at 2:24. And I do recommend you listen to the explanation of what they mean by institutionalise, because this is in a social context. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZVG7CVs8Sc "If you think about mass shootings in America what we've done is to basically institutionalize the ritualistic and regularized murder of children so that we can celebrate an abstract principle which is an absurd misconception of freedom."
