She should have asked Lindsay Graham what his view on lying was? Afterall he was one of the prime voices who said you can't appoint a SCOTUS judge during an election year in 2016 and then did it in 2020.

@TheHigherVoltage Go and look up VP Henry Wallace's quotes on fascism. Here's one of his most notable from teh NY Times 1944. "The really dangerous American fascist... is the man who wants to do in the United States in an American way what Hitler did in Germany in a Prussian way. The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information. With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power... They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest. Their final objective, toward which all their deceit is directed, is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection."

@TheHigherVoltage The site I copied it from had a bunch of other quotes from Wallace. They are all from the 1940s and they all sound like they were said yesterday.

@TheHigherVoltage That's exactly what Wallace was trying to tell people. Remember he was there at a time when there was actually strong sympathy and some outright support for Nazi Germany in America. There was a lot of "Who do we blame for the Great Depression?" angst and some of that was easily directed at Britain, France and the banking system which had significant people who were Jewish. There's so much stuff we seemed to have forgotten despite the fact there are people alive today who were there and saw this stuff happen. Its almost like the Democratic West has forgotten everything that ever happened before 9/11.
