  1. AUSTRALIAN HERE - I find Rachel a little annoying at times BUT DANG-IT (to use an American term) she's absolutely right about the electorate. We just had an election here in Queensland where I live and the winning conservative LNP won on a campaign of "Youth Crime out of Control." It was pointed out that if you only look at the last few years then yes there's been a jump in youth crime statistics, but it you look at the last 25 years the lowest crime rates for youths was about 3 years ago, but its been in decline for most of the last 25 years IRRESPECTIVE of which party was in power. This is the problem Rachel points out and its NOT and American problem. People are so busy these days just dealing with life and there's so much noise being generated that NOBODY has time to filter fact from fiction and too many politicians know how to take advantage of that.
