For most of the last decade they had to hitch a ride on Russian Rockets to get up to the space station they built only to be rescued from that by an IMMIGRANT who actually took twice as long to get 1/2 as far as NASA did 50 years earlier! Through the 1970s, 80s and 90s America lead the world in computer manufacturing technology and now its all made in Taiwan or China. Through the entire post world war 2 era America lead the world in aircraft with companies like Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed, Martin, Gruman, Rockwell and Fairchild. Now there's just Boeing and their last plane was the Max-8. According to a recent Rand report America's top 1% extracted $47 Trillion (with a T) in value form the lower 99% between 1975 and 2018. Americas infrastructure is in disrepair, its political parties dysfunctional and the country has been divided by an self delusion orange clown who gave that top 1% the biggest tax break in history despite that fact they pay almost no tax anyway. I don't know if America is fixable. I'd like to hope that it is. I'm Australian and went to college in America. America's a great country, with great people but its being lead by people in politics and business who just don't care how much harm they do.

@CB-hb1jv I'd agree with that assessment on the basic numbers except 71 million out of 333million is ~21.3% not 40% but that is still a scary concept. I might be taking an optimistic view, but I'd like to think that a sizeable part of that 71million were protesting the establishment rather than vindicating Trump. Don't forget Biden ran on nothing more than a platform of "back to normal." Fine but WTF was "normal?" There's a recent Rand study that said the top 1% of America extracted $47 Trillion (with a T) between 1975 and 2018 from the bottom 99%. They have taken at least another $10 trillion since. That means "normal" for the last 45 years has been the top 1% taking everything they could and giving nothing back. Its not an American thing either its right across the developed world. Prof. Mark Blyth the political economist from Brown U. pointed all this out. He was the one who predicted both Brexit and Trump 2016 based on just how fed up people were with "normal." I'd like to hope a big chunk of those 71million were just angry with "normal" and then got caught up in the insanity. Because if all 71million truly believe Trump is the Messiah then America is already gone. If he wins 2024 its over and that's a terrifying concept for Western Democracy. As an Australian I truly hope America finds a way forward.

@CB-hb1jv Sorry but No. When I said America is a great country with great people I meant the other 90% you never hear about. If you are going to judge America go there and meet them. The other 90% are decent hardworking honest people. Don't judge them on Hollywood, Washington and a handful of billionaires and special interest groups. If you want to criticize America for one thing its letting their country be hijacked by those billionaires and special interests. But EVERY COUNTRY is doing that right now. I'm Australian and we are letting the same shite happen here. Almost every political decision made in Australia is dictated by billionaires and special interest groups. Right now as I type this 60 Minutes Australia is telling us about the level of money laundering within our gambling industry. Its not that surprising its going on, but nobody can do anything because of how powerful that industry is. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

@CB-hb1jv That extra 10-11 million is the bit that worries a lot of people. In particular it worries me that the DNC don't seem to care about it. Its as if it never happened. Its bizarre because for 2 years every poll said his numbers were falling and then on the day it flipped. So where did those extra 11million come from? I haven't heard anyone really explain it. Its also why I think if nothing changes Trump will win easily in 2024. The only people I have seen attempt any explanation was during one of the tributes to Michael Brooks.
