  1. Richard Wolff (one of David's Professors) who is a Marxist Economist and teaches Marxism did a video on his channel detailing WHY the socialist and communist systems of Eastern Europe FAILED. I'm actually Australian but went to college in America and Americans have very little idea of these political systems and why some work and many fail. I high school in Australia we studied BOTH of Orwell's "Animal Farm" and "1984." We were taught how Stalin twisted socialism and communism into the bastardized heap of misery that Soviet Russia was. We were taught that if you let a charismatic monster go unchecked they could flip ANY system into the totalitarian nightmare of "1984." I effing hated both those books at the time, but these days I am grateful for the teachers I had.

  2.  @grahvis  Similarly look at Mao and the Kims of North Korea. These were communist countries in name only. Seriously look at North Koreas official title. It claims to be a democratic republic. East Germany did the same. These are just labels that occasionally describe where a regime started. This is why so much of the screaming of socialism and capitalism is just plain wrong. The people screaming have next to no idea what they are screaming about. I just watched a couple of podcasts of "the realignment" that had Eric Weinstein on. He made a couple of really interesting points. First - All these very old clowns who wont retire, wont leave the world alone and most of all wont let anyone change anything - NEED TO RETIRE. Biden, McConnell, Pelosi, Trump the whole lot of them can JUST GO AWAY. Second - all the idiot children need to shut up.
