I'm Australian and I can say EXACTLY the same thing about us and what we are seeing. Here's the stupid thing, since Reaganomics and Thatcherism (what we now call neo-liberalism) was adopted as the "Western Worlds economic model" the aim was to have zero inflation. So if basic economic policy of the entire Western World was zero inflation, then we should have expected that if at any point after 1981 that we actually had any inflation then it would look like the worst in 40 years. I'm not an economist and I get that. What I don't get is how stupid people are being about this.

@mikeisallin7541 I was in Canada for work a few years back. It was right about the time Trump tor up NAFTA and hit Canada with tariffs. There were grandmothers with hockey sticks and they were not saying "I'm Sorry" Interesting it was also when the Paradise Papers came out and there was a scandal over a government minister and his family business getting a juicy contract. That stuff was so like Australia that if it wasn't for the snow I swear I wouldn't have been able to tell if I was there or home. My bet is your guys are still at it because NOTHING happened to any of the guilty just like here with the Panama Papers and dodgy contracts.

@noel7777noel I think you've eaten so many trolls its infected your brain. Reaganomics was a hell of lot more than dog whistling about welfare queens and storming banks. Go and learn about it, because its way more insidious than that.

@jackkelevra4741 I don't think he's claiming anything is a coincidence. I think he's trying to tell Americans that there's more to the world than the "Murican Bubble."
