  1. I'm Australian but went to college in America on a sports scholarship (late 80s). In those years I got to see some of the best in America and the American people. The earliest I can remember the USA chant was "the Miracle on Ice" hockey match. That sorts of highlights the change that's happened. At that time it was sort "our nation has achieved something" and America has had a lot of achievements to be proud of. Landing on the moon, the Olympics, film, television, music, arts. The American College sports system is incredible - I know I was a part of it. I was sort of fortunate in that all my frat brothers, classmates and teammates had all done civics in high school. They gave me a sort of hands on education about the Constitution. They had pride in the Constitution but it was pride born from education and understanding. I have asked about it and apparently during the Bush years civics education was defunded. These people in these videos and this stuff they scream and rant about is just ignorant garbage and it nothing to be proud of or chant about. FYI - Yes we have people this ignorant and this stupid in Australia as well.
