Peter Zeihan the geopolitical strategist/analyst had an interesting take on this. He said recently that America political parties have gone through a number of major changes. For instance at one point it was the Republicans under Lincoln who were on the Left side of American politics doing things like abolishing slavery, while the Democrats were the staunch Right side. He pointed out that these changes are generally messy affairs lasting 8-12 years and right now America is only about 6 years into one of these changes where one of the main parties reshapes itself. In fact if you consider the rift between younger progressive Democrats and older corporate Democrats there's massive changes coming there too.

@W81Researcher You must be damn young - zoomer of millennial to put it in such shot terms. I'm and older Gen-X. I was in grade school and watched the last moon mission on a black and white TV. When I went to college the internet wasn't even a thing. It was just a pile of interlink systems at that point. When you look at the longer than 30+ years into the past its a serious OMG on politics. Biden was already OLD when I went to college. His generation ARE THE PROBLEM they are NOT the solution.
