Its called NARRATIVE and that's what all of our politics is now about. AND MAKE NO MISTAKE: This is NOT just an American thing its going on everywhere. I'm Australian but went to college in America, which is part of why American politics interests me. Plus it has serious ramifications for Australia as does British politics and few other things. Our politics is almost as bad as this nonsense and we even have a couple of Any Biggs types. JUST YESTERDAY (less than 12 hours ago) I saw one of our conservative politicians interviewed and it was 101% narrative garbage. Up until 18months ago we had 9 years of conservative governments and all she said yesterday were effectively complaints that the new government had not fixed the issues her government had left behind EXCEPT none of it was her parties fault. On the flip side of that our Leftist parties are almost as bad. Their narrative is "these things are too hard" and they are partly right and were left with a mess BUT they also won't LISTEN to actual solutions. Politics is NO LONGER about doing anything. Its all about narrative.

@ofdrumsandchords I agree with you. What I mean by everywhere is that its everywhere BUT in different amounts. When I say Australia ahs these sorts of problems I really do mean we have some problems and some cases very serious, but overall we aren't in as much trouble as America - YET. FYI - I went to college in America. I did engineering but a bunch of my friends were pre-law and we had numerous conversations on the US Constitution. So I know America fairly well. These days I think the US Constitution is one of the greatest achievements in human history BUT its in the hands of a nation that no longer respects it and has allowed a pack of maniacs to trample all over it. And that's a warning to every country.
