Its might not be as stupid as it seems. As David pointed out yesterday the majority of Republicans are most likely going to find Trump innocent. So Trump could use an actual dog as counsel who could simply bark in the trial and they'd still vote innocent. This is the idiocy of American politics - facts do not matter, about ANYTHING.
