That's actually a good way to put it.

@Nope2022HugeTheWarningFan Mostly fair claims in your reply to Devonic, except the bit of voting for Trump. Remember that Dems threw a massive guilt trip at progressives and Bernie supporters after treating them like shit. They didn't like Biden and especially didn't like his hacks BUT they still voted for him over Trump. Has this guy got his flaws? Absolutely, but he was absolutely right about America being addicted to 10 second sound bites. And that's far from being an American issue that problem has infected the entire Western World. At least everybody should take the positive that this an elected Republican who's only going to get even more flak for simply admitting Trump lost. And considering how some of the Trumpsters are threatening people that's deserves at least some respect.

@eltorocal Your absolutely right on that. But don't lose sight that for the corporate part of the Dems they don't care anymore than the GOP. They talk the talk but never deliver anything. Its also why the traditional left wing parties across the rest of the Western World have also lost favor with the working classes. There campaign advisors and party managers simply look at where the money comes from. If you want to go into it - Obama ALMOST broke the cycle when he won off a base of small donations from millions of people and no major corporate donors. Its arguably his biggest failure - promoting that politics does NOT need big corporate donors. Instead he fell in lie with the corporate types and became just another hack. Trump tapped into the same anger of the working class but from the right. The difference was he was already a corporate vulture. At least for a Obama started with some principles. Trump never had any to begin with. Even if the GOP had a few molecules of morality and ethics left after the Bush years Trump sterilized them of those.

@dooval434 Great point. I think the people who actually want to see the GOP destroyed are missing the point that if its destroyed America becomes a 1 party state. And that's a disaster anyway you look at it. So I think that despite their flaws (and they have plenty) people like Duncan are Adam Kinzinger are incredibly important to a stable America. I can also see Trump, Bannon and the rest of that brigade of clowns going after them with real ferocity because nothing the Dems do or say is as much of a threat to their power as these people are. It was a point Orwell made time and time again. The proletariat are never the threat, your political opponents are never the threat. The real threats are on your side of the political fence.

@dooval434 Are you including me in the vitriol? I copped a blast for actually saying he deserves some respect for at least standing up to Trump. That's a risky move. Other than the political cost it also a genuine risk of violence to him or his family. And yeah I didn't miss that he was plugging a book. I also David missed a real opportunity to have him actually explain what these "conservative values" are. We here that claim all the time and yet never really here what people mean by it. As in what specific values are they talking about. The rare times I see people question on that these people get tongue tied very quickly. I think the claims of "conservative values" is just a vote snatching phrase. Say a certain phrase and certain people will vote for you no matter what you actually do. The obvious one of those is the 2nd Amendment rights that so many mouth off about (on both sides) and NEVER do anything afterwards.

@Nope2022HugeTheWarningFan Due please don't just cut and paste what people say its kind of annoying because its harder to what your point is. And its a good point you make. David does do good interviews but doesn't push enough at times when he should or at least just push a little.

@Nope2022HugeTheWarningFan If that's your style that's your style. And you do make a point.
