Ever since David first brought it up I have been ramming it down there throats when they make stupid comments. I even got one Google account (others have reported the same) when I pointed out and entire channel was a Trump backing scam. Yes there are channels here on YT that were set up for people to scam Trump supporters. The guy who got my account canceled had a series of vids claiming to all how Trump won this and that and how he needed money to keep spreading "the truth" (sound familiar). The there are the evangelists that David pointed out yesterday. Trumps not the only one cashing in on these people.

@jlepage36 Your half right in that "The point of getting Trump in office was not policy, ideals, or trust." is absolutely true. The bit on deliberately wanting to damage America isn't correct. It was more like an impetuous howling scream at the establishment. In other parts of the world like Britain, Australia and Canada, its called a protest vote. Its when people don't for someone they vote AGAINST someone or something. Recently on a panel Prof. Richard Wolff used the example of West Virginia which was at one point as blue as blue could get. Prof. Wolff teaches was one of David's college professors and has been on David's show in the past. He teaches Marxism and preaches against Capitalism. YET on this panel than included Prof. Mark Blyth from Brown who's a left progressive as well, they explained why those people voted Trump and defended it. People forget that in 2016 before trump beat Hilary his base rejected 16 GOP establishment candidates. Here's a link (time stamped) to where they talk about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g1aMsDYJCc&t=3165s

@seanb9698 Part o fit is he tapped into the frustration of a slab of disenfranchised America and recognized they'd been screwed by both the DNC & GOP establishments. Sadly Trump mislead and lied to them even worse than the DNC & GOP ever did. The biggest problem that both the DNC & GOP now have is the 74 million people who lost so much faith in them they voted for Trump. The biggest question both the DNC and GOP have to ask is "How to we reconnect these people with reality?" So far BOTH are failing. The GOP keep feeding the delusions and the DNC don't care so long as it gives them something to point a finger at.

@Frenchblue8 Which comment are you replying to I made 2. I don't think your wrong on any part of what Trump's motivations were or still are. He's a narcissistic sociopath so he'll do what ever he wants next and not care about anybody in the road. But neither of my comments are about Donald trumps motivations and neither is the comment that started this thread. They are about the people who have been drawn into his BS and what motivates them. You haven't refuted anything that I or anyone else in this thread has said. I doubt you looked at what Richard Wolff or Mark Blyth said about what motivated Trump voters -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g1aMsDYJCc&t=3165s I suggest you really go have a look at that if you and others want to avoid another Trump Presidency in 2024.

@loisfeinberg3932 I did engineering, but in my "humanities options" that was supposed to make me a more well rounded person I did psych 1010, sociology 101, economics 101 and another sociology class on technology and society. So I am not expert on psychology, sociology or economics BUT then I don't need to be because its that obvious. Trump's a narcissistic sociopath as in he's hyper self centered and doesn't empathize with hos base or the damage he's done them. He's used basic group psychology to sell himself to a disenfranchised mob who feel they have been left out and left behind. He didn't have to limit their information stream because Rupert Murdoch had already done that for him. If you want to add word to Trump's narcissistic sociopath it would be opportunist because that what he's done a lot of - seized opportunity.
