  1. I have been trying to point that out to Americans for DECADES. Ask almost ANY American what any word that ends in "ism" means and they don’t have a damn clue. At its most very basic concept ANYTHING that a "society" collectively owns and pays for is a socialist or socialized function of that society. Police, basic education, roads, and many other GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS including the military are socialist functions. Politically on the FAR LEFT there's PURE 100% socialism where society owns and pays for everything and on the FAR RIGHT there's PURE 100% Capitalism where individuals own and pay for everything. Every society exists somewhere between those 2 extremes. More often than not every society has a mixture of those concepts for different functions of that society. I'm an engineer and understand those concepts. How TF all these clowns with arts degrees in Political Science can't explain that is staggering.
