Yeah didn't you know its part of their business model. If you invest in military manufacturing you need your own country and other countries to buy your guns, bullets and bombs. Every aborted foetus was a potential soldier who couldn't be supplied with a gun, bullets or bombs. How do you expect them to make money if the soldiers they need are never born????? And yeah I know that's almost insane for how cynical that is. Its also true.

@Shreddah There's a series of pod casts call "how to fix democracy" which can be found here on YT. The entire second season was devoted to economic issues. One of those interviewed was Nobel Laureate Sir Angus Deaton. He mentioned that another economist back in the 1950s PROVED that a for profit health care system CAN NOT EVER WORK. It not only can't deliver fair and equitable outcomes but it basically eats itself and eventually collapses. So you know I'm Australian and we have a dual system of public and private that works for us. It has flaws and issues but we are far better off than many other places. Many other nations also have a mix of public and private health care. I don't know what the same sort of modelling says on these dual systems and if they are also doomed to fail.

@fd9987 Actually NO. What America needs is a Republican Party that functions in good faith, acts in good faith and behaves as a responsible part of a free and democratic society. The Democrats are not as bad but they to could deal with a healthy dose of good faith and responsibility. America has 2 malfunctioning parties, its just that one of them is malfunctioning more than the other.

@fd9987 I hope democrats can start doing better at math cos Nixon was in 1974 and 2022 -1974 = 48 not 60. But then the Dems have been dysfunctional since they thought Hilary Clinton was a good idea. Despite cheating Bernie Sanders out of the nomination and the fact Bernie Sanders then campaigned ON HER SIDE AGAINST Trump, she's still blaming Bernie Sanders for losing.

If you want call me a person who thinks every person in every nation should have the right to basic health care and that politicians should NOT be allowed to trade shares in stocks they have influence over, then yeah I'm Berniecrat. So I'll take that as a compliment over being mathematically illiterate any day. I'd tell you to go back to high school and try again but that would be a waste of time considering your lack of intellectual capacity.

Did you miss the point where John Bolton wanted to start a war with Iran a couple of years ago? When did guns save lives? If you're NOT on medication already then seek help and get some. If you're ON medication go see another doctor because the ones you got ain't working.
