David's missing 1 point - the pro-Trumpers don't care what's true and/or what's provable. They operate in another reality with alternate facts and in that reality the Trumps are God's chosen saviors and everyone else is a traitor or liar or delusional clown. Rudy's playing to that crowd and they will believe whatever he says just as they have been doing for months.

@miapdx503 There's a part of me that would love to say that last word is wrong, but sadly it isn't. Its certainly not applicable to all of Trumps base, but without doubt it applies to a significant section of that base. I had an argument here on YT with a Trumpster back in 2019 about Trumps behavior. I claimed that one of the fundamental tasks of POTUS was "to unite the American people." Fundamentally that's one of the prime tasks of ANY political leader. There's a tradition that no matter what happens during an election once its decided the person who wins represents the ENTIRE electorate. People like John McCain made that point repeatedly. The Trumpster argued back that I was wrong. In their brains they think POTUS is for them and them alone. Its part (emphasis on part) of why they are so freaked out. This is where Trump really did a lot of damage that wont be fixed easily. Trump, FOX, OAN, and others got them into a mindset where POTUS is either 100% for them or 100% against them. Either America finds a way to heal that divide or the 2nd American Civil War is inevitable. In fact ideologically its already started.
