@ebperformance8436 Over all good points and good list, but there's a couple of items to consider. Point 3: Who did they attempt to kill? Sure they chanted "Hang Mike Pence" but that's questionable if its attempted murder. Did they have a rope or did they build a scaffold or prepare a noose capable of hanging the VP? Certainly sedition or seditious conduct for interfering with lawful government processes. It could also be intimidation (as in corrupt behavior) of a government official. Point 4: 1st degree murder is for when deliberately and unlawfully kill a person. Felony murder should be an almost no brainer. Were they committing a felony in that they broke into a government building in an attempt to stop the government doing its lawful duty? Did a police officer die during the commission of that felony? If the answer is YES or arguably YES to both those questions then Felony Murder should at least be on the table. FYI - I'm not a lawyer or law student these are just points I've gotten listening people who are lawyers explaining this stuff.

@everyonesinsane883 Cheerleader to what? Anyway you put it they were committing a felony and a cop died? Sorry but felony murder is or should be on the table. Maybe not for all but certainly for some.

@ebperformance8436 Great points. More than anything I just want to see these people face a judge and get forced to accept reality. If there is one thing I think people are getting fed up in the world (not just America but across the world) its clowns getting away with serious crimes while others do time for simple minor stuff. These people stormed "The Building" where a government operates. In almost any other country these people would already be in jail and in many countries they would already be dead. Go look at how China executed people after Tiananmen Square.
