  1.  @roxannehale1386  Thanks. For some reason YT threw me a recommendation to a lecture by John Mearsheimer who's a U. of Chicago professor in Realism. It was one of 3 he did on how liberalism has failed. The one YT flagged was the 2nd of the 3 and it was about how American foreign policy had lead to the mess in Ukraine. So I watched it out of order. His explanation of the current situation was flawless until he said this line about "that's why Trump is now president." It was only then I realised it was from November 2017. It was when I watched the first of the 3 lectures I realised where he was from. He's from U. Chicago the birthplace of neo-conservatism and they hate liberalism. It doesn't make what he said wrong but it explains why he can rip the US foreign policy apart. Its a real interesting insight into the basics of American political ideology which isn't a single ideology but a mixture of ideologies that overlap in some ways and viciously opposed in others. On one side are the Liberals who believe they can make the world a better place through ramming liberal democracy down everyone's throats. On the other side these Realists who just don't care because they rely on the world being exactly as it is. The Realists see the world full of selfish, lazy and gullible individuals who can be taken advantage of. Their Realist ideology is centered around this incredibly narcissistic view of the world. Liberals hope the world can be better. These people are "fark that. what can I take advantage of." Look at people like Sinema, Manchin & Cheney that's them in a nutshell. They care about nothing. They just look for things to take advantage of.

  2. I'm Australian but went to college in America. I'm fairly much in agreement with you. Like most of the Western World, America is our most important trading and security partner. None of us can afford an malfunctioning America. Thanks to the globalization they promoted and we agreed to our economies are now so intertwined that a malfunctioning America is a very serious issue. I know there's a lot of Americans wanting to tell us to FK-OFF, but if we did that would also mean we stop buying F35s and other stuff. What would happen if then? Go through any scenario you like. If everybody stopped buying American hardware it ends up with unemployed Americans which could easily dump America into a devastating recession with almost no way out.

  3. Considering she's a neo-con I wouldn't claim she's an ally of democracy. The keystone of neo-conservativism is that democracy is doomed to fail because people don't vote for what's best, they vote for what they want. Its based around what the University of Chicago poly-sci people call "realism" which is based around accepting humans for what they are and part of that is being selfish. Its totally narcissistic. What she ISN'T is a pro-authoritarian maniac. She's just a normal neo-conservative authoritarian, who's smart enough to know that these clowns are wrecking her chance of getting the neo-cons back into power. Even if the neo-cons get back into power do you really think they want to share power with these idiots?
