When this comes up I recommend that everyone go watch the PBS Frontline documentary "A league of Denial" taking note of the examples of players from their earlier days and later life. Then go and watch any interview Hershel gave in the past. I found one from 2015/16 from a sports show where he was talking about football. The DIFFERENCE in his speech, how clear the words are and how he could converse with others is pretty staggering. If you watch the documentary first where they discuss the signs of concussive brain injury (CTE) and show examples then its pretty obvious Hershel Walker is not a well person and should not be running for public office. The people who have supported this nonsense should be outed for the scum they are.

Its not just an American issue. I'm Australian and when I look at a few of ours I have to ask what were people ever thinking. If there's a difference its that America seems to celebrate them or at the very least do it so much louder than everyone else. I actually went to college in America (late 80s) and I thought your campaigns were these bizarre popularity contests devoid of any substance. BUT OURS have also been going down that path for while. We never used to have debates between political leaders, now they are mandatory and at times they have become ridiculous. The only thing that has slowed it down has been the "we don't want to be like America vibe" that has pushed back. Its not that we don't like America or Americans, I love America, we just don't want our politics to be like yours. Do you realise that all through the cold war America told the world about democracy and called POTUS "the leader of the free world." If you try and say that these days you'll get laughed at. If you try and push that line, it wont go well. And yes I am quite well aware that a certain Australian (Rupert Murdoch) is right in the middle of it all, but then we did try to warn you what he was like.
