  1. Its not a mater of him being or not being an ophthalmologist that matters - its how he's behaved that matters. If you step back a bit form all the partisan crap there are some things that Dr. Fauci needs to explain better than he has. Below are some links that I got from other people and they clearly show that the NIH was funding research via Peter Daszak (and Ecohealth Alliance) in China. The 3rd link below is to a recent DW (German) short doco on Gain of Function and it includes a number of top US experts on virology research. What they explain is that there are a huge issues WORLDWIDE with infectious disease research. There aren't consistent or clear definitions and there aren't consistent and clear standards. Where Rand Paul has been a total failure and ratbag maggot of a human is that he wasted the opportunity to simply ask Dr. Fauci what all this stuff is about. He has enough of an educational background to dig deeper than most of us in a SENSIBLE MANNER that helped everyone understand. Instead he played total crap partisan politics. The claim he made about not being a career politician was just utter garbage and that needs to be held against him.
