  1. THRUST PERFORMANCE - Scott, the answer is thrust performance as it is with all rockets. And do you know how you get that performance? PUMPING as in pumping lots of fuel into the engines. And do you know you make those pumps work? LUBRICATION And if you fail to maintain effective lubrication then your pumping will falter and your thrust performance will suffer. And possibly suffer to the point of failure to achieve escape velocity. And that's why many non-engineers think engineers are perverts.
