I'm Australian and what you just wrote looks like it was written in response to some of the claims of Western Australians. I've been to Canada a couple of times. Most recently for work. I'm an engineer and did a water treatment plant in Saskatchewan. I was there for 4 months. So I know that part of Canada and heard plenty of how they feel about Ottawa which sounded a lot like how Australians feel about Canberra. I bet the rest of Canada feels the same about Ottawa because its the same how Brits feel about London, the French feel about Paris and the whole of Europe feels about Brussels. We all hate out central bureaucracy because I don't know if this applies to Alberta, but every time that small (but very loud) minority of Western Australians yelp about independence we remind them of what the rest of Australia does for them. FIRST - Western Australia's main value is mining and in particular iron ore. However NONE of Western Australia's mining was developed by Western Australians it was all developed by East Coaters who moved to WA. Its actually the rest of Australia that funds all of the development in WA. So I'd be asking 2 questions WHO PAID for the development in Alberta? WHO IS PUSHING this because its known around the World that Charles Koch (the American Libertarian Billionaire) is heavily invested in Alberta?

@curtisaguirre757 I think Koch is just one of a group of about 30 Americans who would split the would in half if they could make an extra $1. A while back after the 2022 midterms in America Thom Hartman pointed out that over $900million had been spent pumping up various candidates. Over $800million of that $900million had come from a group of around 25 people. If you want to see just how insidious these people are and for how long this has been coming there's a 2012 PBS Frontline on "Citizens United" that includes events in Montana and an interview with the lawyer who was behind CU. Its amazing to see what his motivations were. That video is still here on YT and is titled How the Citizens United Decision Changed U.S. Political Campaigns (full documentary) | FRONTLINE
