  4.  @joe125ful  adding gears makes the cogwheel(s) / gears itself less strong which means the gearbox cant have that much power. Also adding more gears would just space out the gearing over more gears so doing absolutely nothing. You could however just change the gear ratio and keep the 7 speed which would probably allow for an higher top speed if the ECU allows so
