  1. As an 51 year old American I will sometimes eat or drink with the other hand. It depends on the situation and my mood. For steak I will probably not to the zig zag and instead cut with one hand and have the fork in the other. With that said I have to mention that I am nearly always the fastest person eating at any table. It's not something I think about or try but I have always been this way. My wife has tried for 20+ years to break this but its not likely to happen.
