  7. Thomas, I love these types of videos because it’s not possible to get this type of unbiased information anywhere else. I have seen people argue that the animal skin from cows is from the meat industry and these skins are going to be thrown away if there is no market for them. Is any of that true? We are only talking about mass production vehicles, not Rolls Royce level animal skin. Thank you so much Thomas, your channel is awesome.

  9. Piano black has to be covered with paint protection film or any type of vinyl wrap, unless you are someone who does not care about a clean interior. The piano black shows fingerprints, dust and schmootz. It gets all scratched up just from trying to keep it clean.

  10. I am very impressed with the three brands that share this platform, but I am in the USA where people rarely buy normal sized cars, so it's only the ID.4 and the Audi equivalent for us.

  12. Thomas was only pointing out what the experienced automakers are able to do better. An imperfect headliner or a sharp edge does not make this car a disappointment. Tesla is reinventing the automobile and it will take them a long time to figure everything out. Please give them a chance.

  16. I have to say that even your eyes match the beautiful blue theme today, Thomas! I really love the styling of this Q4 e-tron, what an absolutely beautiful fully electric car. I do not care for the sportback, because I do not like the styling and some utility is lost in the design.

  18. Thomas, please show us how to change the HEPA filter yourself, without being forced to go to the dealership. There is a YouTube channel in the USA that figured out how to open the bonnet of the EQS to access the filter. They found that a bunch of leaves had accumulated on the cabin air intakes. This design makes you have to visit the dealership.

The best thing that I learned from you years ago is to call it what it is, animal skin and not leather, because that sounds like a wonderful product.

  26. Thomas, you were brilliant as always! I now understand why knowing how fast you are going in Germany can save you a lot of money. I remember a YouTuber in Switzerland who I believe had to serve jail time for speeding. Is that possible? So many people in many states in the USA will drive at least 10 mph over the speed limit with no consequences. If they drove 100 mph in a 75 mph zone, they would be in big trouble. I wish that Tesla would speed a few Euros and add a tiny speed display or the cheapest heads-up display possible, but they will not. There’s many good reasons why Tesla is so profitable and in the USA the legacy companies are blaming Tesla for lowering prices causing legacies to loose money on every car. So many people do not believe that humans are hurting the environment and they resent EV’s being shoved down their throats.

  29. H x3 I don’t understand either. It must be the headliner that can be fixed. My Model 3’s headliner doesn’t look like his, and if it did I’d use the Tesla app on my phone and make a repair appointment. Certainly not a complete disappointment. Maybe it’s just fud?

  30. Thomas, you are feeling a very strong rear-end and front-end made from just a few injection molded mega-castings. The original Model 3 chassis was made from way too many pieces welded, glued and fastened together. Tesla has had very little time to figure out how to make cars before bankruptcy was inevitable.

  33. I wish that journalists would explain that dozens of different driver profiles can be saved that include almost every programmable feature. It is only necessary to program all of the options just once. You could make up anything you want. Thomas Sporty, Thomas Relaxed, anything that you want. The ventilation system is also included in the saved drivers. There is also an optional easy entry mode that is selected whenever you put the car in park and takeoff your seatbelt. I have mine move the seat all the way back and low, plus my steering wheel goes all the way in and all the way up. This is all software that Tesla is constantly improving.

  34. odzandenz paul You're 100% correct! That's why my other car is a Plugin Hybrid Electric, that can easily go 500 miles on a tank of gasoline, before the light comes on.

  35. odzandenz paul I love driving my Ford CMax! I've never been one to take curves quickly, because I get very nauseous and throw up. I don't drive a Prius, I hate them and they their drivers, who move so slowly.

Because of you, Thomas, I no longer use the word, leather, because it's animal skin, it used to be part of an animal, before it was slaughtered for someone's hamburger or for their steak.

  39. What an incredible system, Thomas! Who wants to drive themselves in traffic commuting to work and back? Who enjoys driving across Europe on the highway system? Large trucks can convoy together. It will take decades to get all of the old cars off of the road. The weekends are for driving your classic ICE vehicles.

  42. It seems silly that the front compartment cannot be opened. If you ever have any troubles, will the dealer be the only place that you can ever get service? I love to look around my car and examine how it is built. I hope that no other EV manufacturers copy this sealed front hood design. It really looks cool how the hood meets the wheel well, but I don't like their solution.

  45. Autogefühl That makes complete sense. If this were an old car, the grill would be wide open all of the time. I’m only into electric cars now, so fake grills do not impress me, but I think that it looks excellent in this class of car. I wouldn’t be caught dead in this car, but it’s perfect for someone that doesn’t care about the environment or the use of animal’s skin.

  46. Autogefühl You’re very welcome, kind sir. I have not found a substitute for animal skin that does not leave my back sweaty. My Tesla Model 3 has really beautiful vegan leather, but I still get sweaty, however, my husband has no problems. It’s a very comfortable material.

  47. Autogefühl I agree, Tomass. I would rather have cloth seats, but they are hard to find in the USA. It used to be that European cars had beautiful cloth interiors, but even expensive cars did not have air conditioning. The European cars of the 1970’s had American air conditioning and American automatic transmissions. European’s have gotten soft, even their houses have air conditioning!
