Every time that I walk in front of a full sized pickup truck in the USA I’m scared to death of being hit by one of them. Imagine if all vehicles had to pass the European pedestrian crash tests? There’s no chance that I’m going to take less than four wheels. Everybody talks about how safe their vehicles are, but they only crash into the same type of vehicles as themselves. The smart car talked about their safety cage, but that’s Smart against Smart. I own a Tesla Model 3 and the YouTubers are always saying the safest cars in the world, but it’s Model 3 crashing into Model 3 or equivalent size vehicle.

@timboatfield I completely agree with you Tim. The witnesses told the police that the car headed for the cliff, the driver tried to kill everyone, he just picked the wrong car and in jail for attempted murder.

@eclecticcyclist Thank you so much, it sounds pretty smart when it’s needed. How much current can a 230 volt 50 hz in Continental Europe pass? I’ve heard that it’s not that much. I always assumed that it was double what we have in the USA, but it’s not, is it? I’m also confused by the countries that have residential 3 phase power. How much current is available there? Is there enough for DC fast charging?

@timboatfield The husband did not walk away, he was taken away in handcuffs for driving the wrong car to kill his family. I wonder if the battery back saved their life because its weight kept the car in the safest orientation and it protected them from intrusion of not being on an even surface? I am not an engineer, obviously!
