  2. When your entire country is an island with a relatively small population living on the coasts, immigration control and gun control are both easier. We in the US will not give up our guns because we know the criminals, the crazies and the cartels will not be giving up their guns no matter what laws are passed. Among the worst laws ever to be passed in the US are Gun Free Zones. Those zones are death traps for innocent, law abiding people and a small taste of what would become of the entire country if guns were banned nationwide.
