  3. One of the take aways was the vital need to grow the economy or face economic collapse from debt. Yet, I didn't hear anything advocated about reducing debt. I heard several programs mentioned, but each was marginalized as being insignificant reductions to our growing debt. Bottom line: We must grow the economy so we can afford more debt because we can't get reelected and our lobbyists will be unhappy if we make spending cuts.

  4. He makes some excellent points and the reality is scary and asking voters to face the scary truth and accept cuts doesn't get politicians reelected.
