Warehouse picking might be even worse😅 Starting with 2 empty pallets, driving around the warehouse and picking cases from other pallets onto your 2 pallets which gradually get taller and taller, so at the end you may be lifting heavy stuff above your head just to put it on top of your pallets. You have a rate to do, but you also need to stack it properly and wrap it. If your stacking sucks, your pallet will collapse at the first turn you take, and you can re-stack it again, doing the same job twice but the restacking doesn't count toward your rate because it was your fault.
Your rate: 240 cases per hour, or 1800 per shift, or 2700 if you're doing 12 hours.
1 case = whatever is packed together, for example 8 bottles of water (8x 2 litres = 16 litres/16 kg = cca 35 lbs), that's 1 case. If computer tells you to pick 10 cases, you pick 10x 8 bottles packed together. Then proceed to the next slot, and next, and next...
So if computer assigns you trip via soda aisles, you pick about 2 tons per hour with your hands. Then wrap your pallets, drop them at the goods out lane, take another 2 empty pallets and repeat. If you're lucky, you're sent to aisle with some lighter biscuits. If not, you get another trip with soda, or wine or beer.
